Taking photos when I had the idea clear in my mind is more efficent. Choosing my final choice for my topic was fast with the help from my teacher for feedback to tell me what I should not do as my topic.
SInce the duration of our photography unit is not considered too long, it would be difficult to capture the best moment in outdoors. Due to the time frame, brainstorming for a meaningful as well as interesting topic for myself to take photos of is complicated. Out of all the challenges I overcame, brainstorming can be considered as the most challenging aspect in this unit to me due to myself always acting indecisive.
Most of my proposals did not work due to the set time frame My idea of taking photos of the moon did not work. This is because I would have to forecast the weather before I take the photos. If all of my photos are of the moon of the same shape then my piece would not be meaningful. Besides , within this set time frame, I would not be able to take photos of the entire moon cycle.
During the process of this photography unit, I learnt that being indecisive is the problem if I want to finish my work earlier. Through this project, I realized more about the importance of feedback more than before. Gaining feedback is always useful. In order for me to improve my work from feedback, I will finish my work 2 days before my final product is due and ask my teacher for constructive criticism. Another thing that I learnt is when I am brainstorming for proposals, I would need to evaluate if there are any uncontrollable factors that would affect my photos in any way. For example, if I am planning to take photos of the sun, if the day that I am about to take photos of the sun, the day is rainy, then my plan has failed.
